  • “Today I had something happen to me at your gym that I just had to share with you. I’ve been going to your gym roughly 6 weeks and when I first got there I was super weak. While attending Karlos’s class, I would do what I could, however, I was the only one that couldn’t do the full class. I was also the slowest one. Well, a few weeks ago Karlos had us do ‘box planks’ and i tried, but I couldn’t do it. I also couldn’t do a full plank, nor a pigeon, nor like i said, do half the stuff. Well, today I did a box plank, I did a pigeon, I can do a push up, I can do a sit up, I can row with out stopping, I can lunge the correct way, I can run the 600 with out cheating or stopping, I can do so much. I am getting super strong and every where I go these days, people are noticing the change in my body. While I did lose 80 lbs before I started your gym, my body has fully changed. I am so happy with the results. I can’t tell you how amazing Karlos is. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for this class and for his teaching skills. He has a certain thing about him, that he makes you believe in yourself. He knows how far to push me, and I have learned more in the 6 weeks at your gym than I did in 14 months at my other gym. I believe when I spoke to you on the phone, I told you I was super happy at my other gym and I wasn’t looking to switch gyms and I wasn’t going to do much at your gym but Karlos class, correct? Well, I am not renewing my membership at the other gym, and in about 2 more months, I plan to join your gym full time as oppose to only Karlos’s classes. I feel I am learning and getting way much more out of your gym, than I have at the other gym, that is huge and full of machines and classes that you just don’t learn. I prefer to learn what I am doing, as oppose , just to burn calories and say I worked out. I could ramble on forever, but I just wanted to say I am super happy with my results and with all that Karlos has taught me. I can’t wait for the day I feel strong/brave enough to do CrossFit, which is my ultimate goal. But I will always attend Karlos’s class as long as he is teaching it. I have even changed my lifestyle so I don’t even miss my Sunday class. Not only has it changed my physically, it is changing me mentally. I love it!!!!!”

  • 5 1/2 months ago I tore my right quadricep away from my patella. The Orthopedic surgeon who did the emergency surgery to re-attach them told me it would be at least a year before I could do squats or lunges and 6 months before I could do a whole lot of other movements in the gym. Well…. my awesome Coach/Trainer Karlos and I set out to change his mind. We’ve been gradually working (carefully and strategically) to get me “back to normal” in each of my workouts in the past 3 months that I’ve been back training with Karlos at ACF. Yesterday, that same Doctor – who has been amazed at my progress- signed off on removing ALL restrictions! (More than 6 months early!!) Thank you Karlos!!!! So….what’s the 200 for? Nope – not my deadlifts or back squats (I did those a while back) THIS 200 commemorates my 200th workout session with Coach Karlos in the past 18 months!! I plan on celebrating my 2000th with you too Karlos! Thanks for all you do. Your knowledge, skills and overall positive attitude is unparalleled!!
